Since this wouldn't be complete without the recipe, here it is:
1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup wine vinegar
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup worcester sauce
1 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
1/3 cup mix of lemon and lime juice (if you only have one that's ok too)
2 tbsp dry mustard
2 1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp pepper
2 crushed garlic cloves or instant equivalent
Mix all together, and marinade steaks for 24-48 hours before grilling. Marinade will get thick while in the fridge so put on counter for a half an hour once a day and shake around. Then pull out of fridge a half an hour before grilling.
If you try it, I would love to hear about it. :)
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm looks delicious
ReplyDeleteOk, YUM!!!!!!!! I'm emailing the recipe to my dh at work right now with the word HINT in the subject line. Do you think he'll get the message? LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Italian grandfather passed on a recipe for marinade that is almost identical to yours -- no worcester sauce in ours, and only lemon juice (no mix of lemon and lime). We primarily use it on chicken. I will definitely try yours. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletewish i had your dinner... looks great.
